Antlanta Nigerian Passport Office | How to Apply:

Step 1: Complete the Online Application

  • Visit the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) portal
  • Fill out the online passport application form (e-passport).
  • Select U.S.A. – Atlanta as your processing office.
  • After completing the form, you will be prompted to make an online payment for the application fee. Payment must be done through the portal using an approved payment method.
  • Once payment is successful, print the acknowledgment slip and payment confirmation receipt.

Step 2: Schedule an Appointment

  • After completing the online application, you will need to schedule an appointment at the Nigerian Consulate General in Atlanta for biometric capturing and passport processing.

Step 3: Prepare Required Documents

You’ll need to bring the following to your appointment:

  • Printed application form and payment receipt from the NIS portal.
  • Valid Nigerian Identification: This could be a Nigerian birth certificate, certificate of origin, or previous passport.
  • Passport Photos: (Though biometric capturing includes photos, check if additional photos are required).
  • Proof of Residency in the U.S.: For example, a green card or visa.
  • Parent’s consent (for minors).
  • Additional documents (if necessary) for specific cases like renewals, lost passports, or name changes.

Step 4: Visit the Nigerian Consulate General in Atlanta

  • The fee varies based on age and passport type (32 pages or 64 pages). Fees are paid online via the Nigeria Immigration Service portal.

4. Renewals or Lost Passports
