CERPAC and STR Visa to Nigeria -The STR Visa, also known as a Subject to Regularization Visa, is a type of visa issued to foreign nationals who wish to take up employment in Nigeria. It is issued by the Nigerian Embassy or High Commission in the applicant’s home country.:

CERPAC – The Combined Expatriate Residence Permit and Aliens Card (CERPAC) is a document and issued and Managed by the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) online via knowyourimmigrationstatus.ng And Administered by the Ministry of Interior (By Compliance of Business/Work Permit) to foreign nationals who wish to reside and work in Nigeria. Residence Card are Renewed Every year of which foreigner can Also Change Employment and Work Re-designation..

CERPAC and STR Visa to Nigeria Eligibility

  • Expatriate employees of Companies and their dependants
  • Expatriate Technical officials of Missions
  • Foreign Students
  • Missionaries / Clerics and their dependants
  • Research Fellows
  • Expatriate Staff of Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and their dependants
  • Expatriate Staff of International Non Governmental Organisations (INGOs) and their dependants
  • Government Officials (GOs) and their defendants
  • Expatriates employed by companies operating in Free Zones and their dependants

STR Visa Requirement:

  • Online STR Visa Application Form and Payment Receipt and to Be Endorsed with Vignette Stamp in our Consulate or Embassy (See Fees)
  • Formal Application Letter Addressed to our Embassy/Consulate for STR Visa from the Employer/Institution accepting Immigration Responsibility (IR)
  • Valid Passport with a minimum of 6 months validity and at least 2 blank pages for visa endorsement
  • Two (2) passport sized photographs (35/40mm) taken within the last 6 months on white background
  • Duly completed Visa Form IMM22
  • Company Business Documents / Offer Letter of Employment
  • Expatriate Quota Approval Approved By the Minister of Interior
  • Evidence of financial support Letters of Offer of Appointment and Acceptance of Offer
  • Educational qualifications and Curriculum Vitae
  • Extract of Board Resolution

CERPAC Requirement

Provided Expatriate Has an Endorsed STR Visa Vignette Stamp on Passport Booklet, Expatriate Will therefore will be Subjected to Regularize (But Can Only Stay/Regularize within 90 Days) However if the expatriate was unable to regularize within 90 Days, he/she will be advice to apply for Visa Extension/ EPASS (Permit to Stay for more period within another 90 days).

Successful Regularization will approve Production and issuance of CERPAC Card to Expatriate as he/she will be permitted to stay in Nigeria of which card will be renewed annually. Listed Below are requirement for the issuance of CERPAC card (Nigeria Green Card) to Foreign nationals.

  • Formal Application Letter Addressing the State Comptroller of Immigration for Regularization of Stay and Application of CERPAC Card.
  • Company Offer/Employment Letter
  • Employment Acceptance Letter
  • Educational Qualification Certificates
  • Valid Passport with a minimum of 6 months validity and at least 2 blank pages for visa endorsement
  • Two (2) passport sized photographs (35/40 mm) taken within the last 6 months on white background
  • Duly Completed CERPAC Application Form (To be purchased at any Polaris Bank Branches nationwide) with receipt.
  • Bank Teller Receipt (stamped for Successful payment).
  • Company Business Permit
  • Company Quota Profile
  • Expatriate Company Registration Certificate (CAC)
  • Provided all documents are ready, Expatriates will be Issued and Endorsed a Nigerian Green Card (CERPAC)

CERPAC Renewal Requirement

Expatriate once issued CERPAC card are understudied and enforced to Renew residence Card. Requirement for Renewal of Nigerian CERPAC:

  • Formal Application Letter Addressing the State Comptroller of Immigration for Renewal of CERPAC Card
  • Valid Passport with a minimum of 6 months validity and at least 2 blank pages for visa endorsement
  • Two (2) passport sized photographs (35/40 mm) taken within the last 6 months on white background
  • Duly Completed CERPAC Application Form (To be purchased at any Polaris Bank Branches nationwide) with receipt.
  • Old/Expired CERPAC Card
  • Bank Teller Receipt (stamped for Successful payment).
  • Company Business Permit
  • Company Quota Profile
  • Expatriate Company Registration Certificate (CAC)
  • Provided all documents are ready, Expatriates CERPAC Card will be Renewed and Endorsed
  • Expatriate can also request for Facility Such as Change of Position/Job Role (Re-designation) or Change of Employment i.e Want to work for another Company.
  • Entry Permit are Issued to Common Wealth Countries WHILE Visa is Issued to Non Common Wealth countries.
