STEPS FOR PASSPORT APPLICATION FOR DIASPORA /FOREIGN NATIONALS :

– Step 1: Visit the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Portal For Nigerians Outside the Country / Diaspora

• Go to the official Nigeria Immigration Service website and select the “”Passport”” option.> – Step 2: Choose Application Type
  • Select “”Standard Passport”” (for regular applicants).
  • Choose “”Passport Processing Country”” (the country where you are applying from).

  – Step 3: Fill Out the Online Application Form

  • Provide your personal details as required.
  • Upload a digital passport photograph (if required).

  – Step 4: Fees (Depends on the Nationality):

  • 32 Pages Application (5 Years Validity) COST $150
  • 64 Pages Application (5 Years Validity) COST $250

  – Step 5: Schedule an Appointment

  • Book an appointment at the nearest Nigerian Embassy, Consulate, or High Commission.
  • Print the appointment confirmation slip.

  – Step 6: Visit the Embassy for Biometric Capture

  • Attend your scheduled appointment with the required documents.
  • Your fingerprints and photograph will be taken.

  – Step 7: Submit Required Documents

  • Original and photocopies of:
    • Foreign Birth Documents
    • Origin Documents
    • Expired or lost Nigerian passport (if applicable).
    • Birth certificate or age declaration.
    • National Identification Number (NIN) slip.
    • Proof of payment.
    • Passport-sized photographs – White Background (as specified by the embassy).
    • Proof of residency (Utility Bill, Resident Permit, etc.).
    • Parental consent (for minors).

  – Step 8: Track Your Application

  • Use the tracking feature on the NIS website to check the status of your application@ https://track.immigration.gov.ng

  – Step 9: Collect Your Passport

  • Once processed, collect your passport from the embassy/ consulate. Or get it way billed to you
